i dont think a bull dozer buckett would work well. We need a machine that can drive well over and through rocks and also pick up materials easily. A bulldozer would not work for these circumstances.
ReplyDeleteA real good concept would be a robot with a claw and big wheels so thaat it will be able to drive over rocks and pick up samples on the moon.

ReplyDeleteIn response to gus's blog, I think that big wheels would not be ideal, because we can only use so many motors, and since the motors are one-sided, we can not power all the wheels with 2 motors.
ReplyDeleteI think that an important design feature to use would be a wide wheelbase so as to be able to maintain balance on bumpy surfaces. We should also use tank treads so as to have a zero degree turning radius. A backhoe would also be useful for picking up rocks without pushing them away.
