We should use trakcs instead of wheels. I thinks this beacuse the robot will be able to go over rocks and rough turrain easier and more efficently.
ReplyDeleteI think we should put put tankstraps or tracks. we need this because we need to have traction on the surface of Amalthea or we wont be able to move. we also should have a should type thing to scoop up rocks, beause they are so important.haha

I agree with Donnie and Evan. Tracks would be a good choice for traction. I think that we should use a hydraulic arm like an excavator to pick up the rocks. sahttp://www.groveriver.com/excavators.shtml Here is an example.
ReplyDeleteWe should use an electric arm that is able to pick up rock samples. I think we should also put a touch sensor on the front of the robot to avoid hitting obsticles
